We're pleased to offer the following services at the Animal Clinic of Estill County
Our team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. If our standard appointment schedule does not fit yours, just ask and often with advanced notice we can modify our schedule to fit. Sometimes examinations and treatment can be performed at your home. Please ask.
Emergencies are accepted anytime the Animal Clinic of Estill County is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet please call us (606-723-4159) or come to the clinic immediately. If possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency. Emergencies can be things such as pesticide poisonings, hit by car, chocolate ingestion, or animal attacks. If you ever feel that your pet needs emergency treatment do not hesitate to call or come in immediately. If you have an emergency situation after regular office hours our answering machine will list Dr. Grimes' emergency contact number as well as numbers for hospitals staffed overnight, weekends and holidays.
We are also available for urgent care when the condition is not life-threatening. If you feel your pet needs to be seen before you are able to get an appointment, we will work to "squeeze" you in between scheduled appointments. When you arrive, our receptionists will be able to give you an estimate on how long you may have to wait in order to be seen.
At the Animal Clinic of Estill County, we can care for many types of pets*:

*If we feel that your pet requires more care than we can provide onsite we will provide referral contacts to get you the best and most appropriate care. Call us for more information.
The Animal Clinic of Estill County provides discounted services to local area shelters and rescue groups which in turn can sometimes help care for local pets and strays. Pre-approval is required to qualify for the rescue group discounts, please call us for more information. Please consider getting a KY Spay/Neuter license plate for your car as the money from these plates provides grant money to shelters and non profit animal care and rescue groups right back in Estill County. You can also donate your time, talents and of course money to groups that help animals here and throughout the state. We can suggest some great organizations.
